Honda Ruckus / Scooter Thread
Damn, I think I jizzed when I saw it. Man if you are really willing to trade my Jeep for that thing I would be ecstatic.... I love riding these things and I've been dying to get one. I used to just ride my 70 to school and shit until I got busted... oops. But for real that thing looks sweet. Shit I'd ride the thing home to Mechanicsville
I fucking know. I get stopped by people all the time.
COOL FACT- This moped used to belong to VCU Coach Sonny Smith. He bought it in '89 new from Cliff's Yamaha (remember when it used to be on Cary street?) to ride back and forth to campus from his crib over off of monument. He rode it during the off-season and put the original 224 miles on it, parked it in his garage one day COVERED, and periodically moved it around said garage but never rode it again. My brother found it while cleaning said garage for his wife early this year.......now I have it. I think he passed away. I'd have to check with my brother for the rest of the details.
EDIT; It still has the the Cliff's Yamaha sticker on it with the original address and telephone number.
I also have an OG Taurus U-lock w/ key and the key to the steering lock that both came with the moped when it was purchased.
Here's a video to the very first time I started it. The guy across the street fired his chainsaw up just at the perfect time! ;D

It starts just like this every time, except for the one time I ran out of gas LOL

Sheeeeiittt that's pricey. And that scooter sounds nice.. really nice. The 20-25mph gets me though. That's not very speedy there. But it is cooler and faster than walking. Richmond bitches love classic scooters
It runs about 30 (TRUE) with the weather now. It will chug between 30-35 (TRUE) when it gets cold. It's a Czechoslovakian moped and it was jetted accordingly. Thus the reason for a different carb for it to run proper. Not that it needs a new carb, juts a carb that they actually make different jets for.
We'll call it even for the fenders/bumper I'll have to buy.... and probably straightening that frame....EEK!
I'm serious about a trade though. Continue via PM.
