Is there a story to this crash? I don't understand who is dumb enough to fly a helicopter (multi millions of dollars) into a hanging cable battlefield of death.

It was there to help with Christmas decorations apparently

 

yup, happened in New Zealand when the pilot was moving in to help with a large Christmas tree. One of the rotors hit a braided steel cable, causing all the meticulously and necessarily balanced parts to get thrown out of whack, which brought the copter down. Dude was fine, you can see him limping away at the end of the video.

That screaming noise is apparently the gas turbine engine still attempting to output power despite the gearbox being suddenly blown to pieces.
