how do i program a key fob for 2000 civic
Alright so I left my key in my car and locked it. And when i went to unlock it the next day my key fob didn't work I tried a new battery and that didntt work. So I got a new key fob from honda and got into my car with a slim jim obviously my alarm started going off I googled how to program it and I did what it said and it didn't work. Is it because my alarm is going off that it wont let me program the key fob?? What do I do?!?

Throw a brick through the window and wait for the cops. When they get there explain all that to them and they'll help you program it.

That's what I did but it didn't work I unpluged my battery for the night so im hoping that when I hook it back up my alarm reset. I don't think it will let me program the key fob cause the alarm is still going off

thats how you program a factory key fob....if it won't program and the alarm keeps going off obviously you have a fault with the system and it needs to be taken care of before proceeding with programing of the fobs
