Ok so heres the deal . A friend put a cd player in my jeep cherokee 97 and now my dash light or gueges dont work i checked the fuses and nothin is blown . Is there a hidden fuse or something im looking over or is my cluster fucked? Anything will help thanksr

Well it's obvious your friend fucked up the wiring when he put it in.

Your only real choice is to pull it apart and see if you can figure out where he fucked up

Pretty much. On most newer units there is an Orange wire that is for illumination. Possibly a place to start.

orange or orange/white. unhook it if its hooked up. check fuses under the hood and in the vehicle.

Probably hooked up the wrong illumination wire to the head unit. Should be an easy fix if you find someone who knows how to install a head unit properly.

That would be my guess as well but if he didnt watch his friend do it he might make it worse.

any wire in the harness with orange on it: orange, orange/white, orange/black...just unhook it, tape it and insulate it, go on your merry way
