You may. During the time I was wearing the vest I was about 6'0-6'1 170ish, 34 waist. The cummerbund was a little loose on me so I currently have it ziptied tighter in the back because I like all my load-bearing stuff as close to my body as possible, so I imagine it could easily be adjusted to fit someone much larger around the middle than me.
