As much fun as it may be, it is nothing but entertainment. I meant to say, I wonder if something like this may eventually prove to be more cost effective for personal transportation than the price of road upkeep today. Imagine if we no longer needed to pave land in order to make a transportation system, but just had to lay out track that never had any physical contact. Less wear and tear? No idea if this is even a viable option for car replacement, but just throwing out the idea.
