You still have to consider it's a 6500+ lb. jeep. Then power isn't everything, you need a good launch from the start. There's probably not to much aftermarket suspension parts for a Jeep especially drag racing setups.
Edit: The srt8 300c are completely different than what you think they would be. Me personally I think they are fucking great. Big ass brembo brakes, huge rotors, and if you hit the gas it will throw you back in the seat. Definately not what I was expecting when I drove one. I liked it more than the new camaro and some other newer cars.
Also I believe you can get SRT10 4dr pickups for a pretty good price now.
and there's enough reason not to waste my money on one.
factory 19" rims on the new beetles was a damn good choice along with the wider appearing stance.
I don't think small wheels were the problem so much as it was the shape which looked like a disembodied tit and god for-fucking-bid you got a model with the electric retractable spoiler. Cool idea in theory, but in city driving hearing the mechanical buzz every time you go above or fall below 35 made me wanna drill my fucking ears out. Did my behind the wheel test on a Turbo Beetle, had a slushbox though.
