Auto to Manual idle problems
Need some help on solving this issue. Recently did an auto to manual conversion on my 1999 ex. Got everything in at first except the ecu and was running the auto throttle body with the three wire iacv and was running like crap. The idle was jumping from 1500 to 2000 and If I was trying to cruise there would be a constant stutter to the throttle. I installed the correct ecu, intake manifold, and throttle body. Then I swapped the iacv plug with the correct one and made necessary adjustments to plug B on the wire harness. The car ran flawless for two days now it has the same symptoms. It's idling perfect at about 800 but between 1500 and 2000 there's a constant fluctuation. Same problem with cruising but fine under acceleration. Thanks in advance.

HOw does it drive with it unplugged completely? If you unplug it it will throw a code obviously and it wont idle that great but it should drive fine. It will be a little violent when you let off the gas but cruising and acceleration should be fine. If this is the case when you unplug it try another iacv.

Re: Auto to Manual idle problems
Are you talking about idling or cruising? The IACV has nothing to do with anything except idle speed regulation, so if you're not sitting still with no load on the engine then the problem has nothing to do with the IACV at all.
