The MSF Basic Rider Course is 3 days, 1st day is all class, 2 and 3 are outside. You don't needs 2 wheels the first day.
Day one the instructor asked what everybody was going to ride the next day.
I said "A scooter, should I ride one of the loaners"
The instructor actually said no. "Ride the bike you normally ride."
Sweet.
blah blah blah... I passed with a perfect score. They give me my certificate.
Now, since my driver's license is still in Texas. I go through them for my license.
$15 + MSF certification = Sexy time
Twas easy-peasy.
I don't know how VA works... you may still have to take a test at the DMV

Hm, i think the one for TCC goes as followed.
Choose 3 or 2 days course. 5.5 hours class, 10 hours ride time. Im pretty sure you use their loaners for the "Basic" package.
Complete that and you get a 30 day temporary VA M class license. With in those 30 days you need to go to the DMV and receive your permanent copy.
Im 95% sure i am going to sign up for the 2 day course. 8:30-5:30 Sat+Sun.
