I really hate looking for a used car, you can never find anything that really satisfies you. I only found one car today, bmw 325i, and it has my half attention but I don't really know much about bmw's so it kinda concerns me.
There are also plenty of threads on various forums about common issues with the various BMW models.A quick Google search will give you tons of info.
Maybe if it was a "Hey we wanna' sponsor your car, so drop it off here for 2 weeks." and it turns out to be a situation where your car is gone for half a year and they've only taken parts off of it (and lost them) while it sat outside, uncovered, unlocked, etc... and you had to go get half of your missing parts and tow your car back 100 miles and start from scratch? Maybe that would be worth it. -To warn about shops like that...? First time I've ever considered letting anyone turn a wrench on my car and that's how it went.
LOL.
---- EDIT -----
Also if anyone has a daily driver they want to get rid of and is in good running condition I will probably take interest in it

Personally, I wouldn't mind having an auto 325i if that's the car I chose. One of my best friends has one and I'm usually the one driving it when we take road trips. Not so bad, really.
If you're wanting to be boy racer/speedy gonzales in a 325i, that's probably not the right car for you. If you want something you can comfortably sit in traffic and take on road trips, an auto 325i isn't bad. It's moderately comfortable, and a pretty good looking car with a BMW emblem on it.
What kind of warranty does it have? IMO the price seems high if it's "as is."

Sounds like Rick Woodson is trying to fuck you. You could seriously get a comparable car for about 2/3 that price with a proper transmission. Personally though I'd never buy an E46 anyway, too much investment for something that might go catastrophically wrong. If your E36 blows up then oh well, get a new one and you can probably even transfer over a lot of the parts. But E46s are still too expensive to just go into buying with that type of mentality.
E46s do have slightly more common issues as far as non engine things. Not a really big deal, and nothing that would scare me off assuming you can do most of the work yourself.
The biggest problem I see is that price.Seems very high.

It's that used car dealer bs mark up where they're just hoping someone's stupid enough to pay for the badge instead of what it's actually worth.
Okay, I like this information that you guys gave me about this, what are some good, reliable cars you guys have had in the past or own now that are good daily drivers. I want something with a little power but nothing outrageous. I'm looking at something under 14k because I want it to last, and no domestics.
