I wouldn't talk to loud about Pagans around my way (Fredericksburg/Spotsy/Ruther Glen) whole lotta Hells Angles around, apparently Quaker Steak is a biker bar these days. Some really good people and some really shady cats...

I've ridden the XL1200 and it was surprisingly fast.
I'm sure the 1,000 is pretty close, maybe just as powerful because I'm sure the motor was alot different back then being carbed and all.
Either way, looks like alot of fun!
Been wanting a Harley forever, that Nightster I rode was awesome...

nice sporty, I just picked up a new 72 last month and its been alot of fun. been on the online search pretty hard lookin for parts. check out
