Yeah, Falls Church to UMD. I the freeway, so I cut through DC.

You need a new exhaust so people hear you- a lot of near misses, but then again I'm not used to city traffic really. My commute is less than a mile. LOL
Windows up, AC blasting, radio on... plus the sound comes out of the back, and it'll be quiet anyway unless I keep it in the upper revs. I never understood the "loud pipes saves lives"

Also, stock bike = less tickets. "Never break more than one law at a time"

I'd have a supermoto if they had better seats and longer service intervals.

You've never had a bike with louder pipes- have you? That little Ruckus doesn't count, either. People do notice you when you have louder exhaust. I speak from experience, not quoting bumper stickers. Not being a jerk- it works.

And that sumo comment- you need a DRZ400SM! That bike requires hardly any maintenance- just as little, if not less maint. than that Kawi your riding, for sure. That motor has been around for years. There's a guy on supermotojunkie that has one with 98k on it. Jussayin'.

No, no I haven't, and I'm not saying it doesn't work at all. I'm just saying, some people don't even notice ambulances until one drives around them. The rest will see you regardless of pipes are not.

Six one, half a dozen of the other.

Also, by supermoto, I guess I really meant something like a Aprilia Dorsoduro or KTM Duke.

Hypermoto?

^ I'm with southwade, I have a scorpion slipon on my r6. People have still tried to merge into me in town when I'm rolling around in 2nd at 8k...

if that isn't loud enough for people to wake up I don't know what is.

i have a jardine rt-1 full system on my gs. people hear me when I'm beside or in front of them... slightly behind, I might as well be stock. hell, at highway speeds, I don't even hear my exhaust over the wind noise.

I support either of those decisions as a sumo.
