need help b16
so i bought a del sol with stock b16 in it. I kept hearing something rattling and saw that its a pulley loose. Its the pulley that it appears the ac belt goes around. Its not the ac compressor pulley but the one right behind that. What is that pulley used for beside the ac belt if anything. It appears thats the only belt going on to it but not sure im used to dsm's and its been a long time since i had a honda. Can anybody help me bc if its just the ac ill cut the belt. Also how do i get in there to tighten it up?

I would honestly go through the trouble of pulling the motor and checking it out, I mean if you're missing bolts and hearing squealing it would make me wonder how well kept the previous owner took care of the motor.
If you stated mileage and last time your belts and pumps have been changed could be a good indication of what may be done to fix your problem.
Also a Hayne's or Chilton's manual would help you identify what you're looking at.

Look at diagram A. is this the part that you are talking about? If so this is the pulley that applies tension to the belt. You can remove the belt and then remove the pully and bracket from the A/C bracket to make sure that the noise is gone. Then buy the missing bolts and put the A/C back on. Keep the A/C do not remove it.
I just noticed that you have a Del Sol. This is the image from a 99-00 civic SI. This should help identify the part, but make sure that you get the replacement parts from a Del Sol (maybe different bolts).
