Local S2000/Ferrari F40 owners dicsussion thread
This car was for sale a LONG time ago on Prime. He bought a brand new 05 GPW, and dumped $60k into right off the bat in NSXR mods - suspension, wheels, engine cover, carpet, seats, bonnet, and a bunch of other stuff. He ended up selling it for under $90k with only 1,300 miles.

If that car doesn't make you tingly in the pants, there's something wrong with you.

It's at a wholesaler in CT. It's a 96 black/black in very very good shape. Has 115k but a 1 owner car and I can get into it for trade values. Just need cash to purchase. I know if I can't get the money in a few weeks when it's available, it'll be sold instantly online at some auction site.
They are waiting on the title and can't sell it yet, I just got word it thru a manager at work who buys cars all over the country. If I had the cash, they are willing to just sell it to me and have title mailed out later. It's all legit thru a wholesale network.

Jarrod... Did you ever get that kics socket? I have a spare. You can have it.
My 2 cents on the NSX, I just got to work on one. 96 w/60k miles. Major maintenance, timing belt, water pump, tensioner, seals, a few hoses, valve adjustment, etc. I also got to install a set of headers and new exhaust for the blower thats about to be installed. I absolutely love the car. I actually fit without being cramped, the seat goes so far back. It looks amazing, sounds great, turns heads instantly. However, I don't think I could ever own own. Parts are so stupid expensive. I didn't drive it hard or too far, but I definitely think the S2000 handles better. The NSX just feels soooo long. I had thought about trying to get one, but I don't think I ever will. Also, around here with the dumbass drivers, I would be afraid to drive it.
If I could own one, just to look at and drive once a month or a few times a year, I would, but probably keep it in stock form.

Mike gave me a ride in his once, and the sound was amazing. Can't imagine what it's going to feel like/sound like once the blower is on.
Most of them for sale out there right now don't have the TB/WP maintenance done, which sorta sucks. Just more money you'd have to factor in when buying one. I would honestly love to find an old coupe, and do a full NA2 NSXR build on it... and of course, paint it white. Figure about $30k for a decent car, and about $20k for a budget NSXR build.

Very confused, lol. So many varying opinions. I love driving a NSX, I just think it'll suck to give something up I love to get it. That's what I see most people's regrets are from getting rid of a S to get into a NSX.
Than again, i could own the car for 3-6 months and make 4-5k when I wanted to sell with what I'll have in it. Deep inside I wanna get it to say I had one, and drool over it for a few months. I doubt it'll hardly be driven more than once a month if I get it.

Mike's definitely sounds great. I'm envious of it for sure.
I'll join this NSX bandwagon you guys are on - but I think I'll keep the S2000 and buy a Viper GTS :P
