I assume you mean 7.62x39 and not 7.62x54 so they're SAPI rated plates and like $150.

This rig isn't worth near 2600 nor 900. You can buy new plates and a plate carrier for cheaper than 900 for days. You can actually buy some of the best plate carrier setups available for just a little more than what you are asking. Also where were the plates tested to see if their ballistic values are still good?? You play backyard warrior and you forget their are people that work with this kind of stuff on a daily basis, and you expect to not get caught with the pricing of your surplus gear.

 

And real plates aren't rated "7.62" they have ballistic ratings, such as level IIIA.

IIA or IIIA is how they are really rated. With a new NIJ .06 Standard being in effect for all military fielded plates.
