Does anyone know of a spot locally to get a set of factory alloy wheels widened? in the NOVA/DC/MD area

There is a pretty well known spot in Michigan that does it, but I'd rather deal locally if possible.

I'll ask a couple of the wheel refinishers that I use if they know of anyone. I looked 4-5 years ago and couldn't find anyone local but that situation may have changed by now.

There was a guy in here showing off his wheel repair skills. If he could do what he posted I'm positive he can widen a wheel. I'm too lazy to hunt down the thread.

The question I would pose is are you wanting to widening a 2 or 3 piece wheel or do you want them to widen a 1 piece? Are you willing to deal with the risk of a crack from a shitty weld if it is one piece?

 

One piece wheel, so it would need to be cut, with a 1.5-2" section welded in (I haven't decided exactly how much I want to add yet). I have seen this done to tons of wheels, so i'm willing to pay someone who has experience and knows exactly what they're doing to complete the work correctly.

 

leave that factory junk alone and get some real wheels made. stop being a jew bag.

What shop around here does custom lips for 2piece or 3 piece rims? Or can modify/resize existing lips (and get rid of rash)?
