Fair enough, thanks for the input but i'm still going with a manual trans. i'm sure there's a way to tune an auto to shift at different points but i don't like my cars to tell me when to shift. and i dislike lag between engaging into gears.

That's funny just so happens I'm the lead fabricator there now and I weld 6 hours a day at least... And I make more here than I did at riggins.

Well since this is actually my hopeless supra build thread now, im going to take it back and start from the begining. I Have a 1988 Toyota supra, Red, Targa top, grey interior, optional 4.10 rear, optional headlight washers. all power interior options (except passenger seat.) I traded a 95' s14 240sx for it in November 2012. i felt like i made out like a bandit in that deal. about 4 months go by, it has a blown head gasket. fix the head gasket but didn't tear it down all the way to check for internal damage. another month and a half goes but and on the way home from work it starts to knock. very loud. said fuck it because i knew the motor was pretty much done at that point. i figured i would try to make it as far home as possible and that's when the motor threw the rod in cyl. 6. thought that this would be the best opportunity to give it a heart transplant and build something i have wanted for a long time. fell in love with my supra since day one and this why i wont let it go. it has basically become somewhat storage in the garage (kind of upsetting.) so far i have taken off the head and all of the accessories, not much for how long its been down i know, i have some of the interior apart as well. so here it is, i will be posting updates, pictures and questions when i get chances. i am also going to get a better camera. my phone dodes not do any sort of justice.

Generally that's the most flexible way to do it, yeah.
