Get a lawyer. My racing ticket got droppped to improper driving.

 

Get a lawyer... expect to loose the license, I sure did, huge fine... community service, take the drivers class, I signed up for the airforce so they dropped the wreckless but I still lost my license... counting the days, oh and I sold the 240... so I think that helped me

 

There are at LEAST 2 other reckless threads going on right now, why cant you goto them and read the EXACT same advice you'd get by MAKING one?

1. Get a lawyer
2. Goto defense driving
3. Goto court, without your stupid ideas about showing the judge your timeslips, etc, etc, and let the Lawyer talk to the judge - that's what your paying him for.
4. Lawyer will plea bargain
5. Pray
6. Pay your fines, lose your license for however long..etc..etc.

yea but this guy is like a 100 an hour or sum shit but he was recommended from a freind of the family and he is very good

 

Don't take the timeslip...it won't help your case, only hurt it.

Second, I really doubt that traffic was going 83 like you said. I've driven that road sooooo many times and I have never and I mean never seen the traffic cruise at 83 mph. You son most likely were travelling way to fast. If you weren't racing I feel bad for you. It is going to be hard to fight this one because of how close the two of you were when the cop noticed you. I say get a good lawyer and hope for the best.

 

Traffic Cruises at about 75-80 on 264 man. I do it every day. Got caught for the first time in 3 years because it was memorial day.

 

Please, I drive faster than most and I am always passing the majority of traffic. I do 70 -75 tops...I still stand by my statement...he was travelling faster than the rest of traffic.

 

No offense to your logic at all, but showing the judge your timeslip is probably the dumbest idea ever. The point of your ticket wasn't to show how fast your car could go, it doesn't matter if your car runs a 9 second quarter mile, the point is that you were driving too fast anyway and were a threat to yourself and to others. I'd just go ahead and get a lawyer. Good luck man.
