yeah i get the same thing and as i get closer to the giant it starts freakin out

 

i use the escort solo s2 and it saved my ass the other night on oceana. i leave it on highway and all frequencies on just in case because if you drive by the same spot mutiples times you usually learn that its prolly a door and not a cop

 

Im not familiar with the various frequencies, but I do know that my buddys radar detector always goes crazy too around Food Lion, etc. so you're not alone.

 

Agreed...people always saying "this is va, RDs are illegal"

Big fricken deal. So is street racing, yet we have an entire section dedicated to it (road kill). Speeding is illegal and almost everyone does that, but I guess that's OK . I'm no fricken saint, but I wouldn't trash someone for using a RD because I chose not to.

 

yeah it cascades when im not in smart mode i get about 9 bogeys on my v1

 

The responses got more helpful, thanks a lot. I'm gonna go test it and report my findings later. I also use the ESCORT SOLO S2, 2nd best radar detector in my opinion
