i turn my neons on when i'm drag racing and autocrossing. i picked up 2 tenths one day at the strip when i turned them on. since then i keep them on when i race

I wanna know why, if they are so damn illegal, do places still sell them, we cant sell radar detectors but we can sell neons...??

 

yeah well 1. $350 ticket from what i've heard for getting caught for the neons undercar(dunno if it's true though. kinda outrageous) 2. i've gotten caught with a million neons on my car(when i was younger)(the lights on the hood-winshield washer lights, the interior neons-had on roof but think they are ok if you have them on the underneath of the dash), on my license plate, red license plate holder(not a neon but dang had to get pulled for it, it was red see through but apparently not see through enough for them) and a few others that would take me forever to tell. 3. yeah-va-everythings illegal but if you wanna know if it's illegal just look on the box it usually will say for off road use only check with city laws before installing. that means it's ill. in va. 4. get caught with neons? take a picture that shows that you have taken them off or they might still be on there but get a good picture that you can't tell that they're on(follow me?) and take it to court and they'll let you go every time but it's a secret of mine so shhhhhh.... cop told me to do it so......

 

That's not a secret and I've heard cases where the judge asks the sheriff to go outside and verify the illegal equipment has been removed and if it hasn't have fun going to jail for lying under oath to the judge's face.
