I daresay the mazdaspeed miata is faster and handles better than the Civic Si.

I also believe the Mustang GT is faster than the both of them.

Show me at what point I said anything about my car in relation to this thread.

Then show me why the fuck it matters what I drive.

A Miata is a shit-ton better than a Civic. I'd even go so far to say my car has the edge on the bad-ass factor as compared to a Civic. And that does not speak well at all for Civics.

hey i just thought i would let you all know, according to acura's website
the rsx-s specs.

Horsepower @ rpm (ex: 210 @ 7800)
.SAE net (rev 8/04)*
155 bhp @ 6500 rpm
201 bhp @ 7800rpm

Torque
139 lbs-ft @ 4000 rpm
140 lbs-ft @ 7000 rpm

Redline
6800 rpm
8100 rpm

and according to honda the new civic si specs.

2.0L inline 4
16v DOHC i-VTEC
197hp@7,800
139tq@6,200

thats all im saying about comparing these two cars. as for the new civic si being slow, at least wait till its out to test drive it before saying its slow or that its fast.

197 hp + 2900 lbs ≠ fast.

I don't need to drive it.

If by "push" you actually mean to literally start the car, let it idle, and physically push it down the road, then yes you're correct. If you drive the Civic in the upper RPM ranges and actually try to drive the car hard, it will get dismal fuel mileage as well, down in the lower teens. Go take your Civic to a track day somewhere and report back what kind of mileage you get on a race track. I've had my Honda at quite a few track days and I got mileage below 10mpg....of course my Honda wasn't grocery getter as is the new (and old) Civic.

Here's the thing.... The Miata is a sports car. Always has been, always will be. It's designed to be driven hard and reward the driver with a great driving experiance. It doesn't take into account comfort, cargo capacity, passenger seating, road noise, etc etc. They're meant to be fun to drive, and they are. Civics are ment to go get groceries. Civic Sis are meant to go get groceries with a little more "pep". Neither were designed as sports cars.

The new Civic weighs 2900 lbs? Guess it'll make a decent daily driver...not much else.

Yeah, what can I say, I have money to spend on a car that is actually quick from the factory.

06 Civic coupe is fugly. 06 Civic Sedan is super fugly, looks like a crossbreed of a Saturn Ion and the 03+ Accord.

All I said was shit thats true, I can damn well say they hold their value, its been holding the same value for 15-20 years, it has always held its value. So why wouldn't it now?

I aint arguing shit about how fast it is and shit, cuz i dont know. All i said for the value its a bad-ass car. I dont see much better for 19K. And for the idiots trying to be smart, I didnt say shit about loving hondas, I didnt say shit about how fast it will be and blah blah. I just said simple facts, and if you know anything about cars or the car market, you would know they are true.
That just makes you look stupid. If GM can take the 6.0 400hp motor which in the Vette and my car and get 18/28 out of it, and Honda can only get 22/31 out of 4 banger, then something is wrong now isn't it.
