b16 - vtec =
turbo huh? that's my plan come winter.
my current plan is to beat the fuck out of my motor, treat it like a whore till the bottom end dies and upgrade the displacement when it does.

Re: B16 Turbo or N/a
2200 dollars will get you a 12 second Honda.
1600 - turbo kit
uberdata ecu chipped and tuned - 200
Injectors - 100
rims and tires - 150
the rest of the money was for vaccuum lines,Gauges, oil, etc.
All motor in my opinion,is definitely not the way to go. not to disrespect anyone..but i saw someone fully build a GSR motor, and only be able to run a 14.2. I ran a 13.5,with just a turbo kit..slipping clutch, bullshit tune, and Bald tires. That doesnt really say anything about what a turbo kit, with supporting mods can do to a car. start saving up for a turbo kit...as long as the car is tuned right, and you have a considerable amount of boost, hitting mid to low 13's is cake,if you can drive, and catch traction. and keep in mind..my turbo kit was completely used, and "Ghetto" so to speak.

EDIT: And yeah, I dumped 2 grand into a single cam D16y8 and didn't do shit for me. I could have boosted it with a tune...but no, FUCK BOOST! ALL MOTOR IS BETTER!!! yeah, didn't work out so well
