Curb Weight : 3495-3517 lbs(coupe), 3605-3627 lbs(convertible)

Curb Weight : 3664 lbs(coupe)

03/04 Cobra=Fastercar
it doesnt matter what the cobra went, becuase now you are comparing an 03 cobra and with an 98-02 f-body. If you want to compare apples to apples, then compare the 98-02 f-bodies with the 98-02 stangs!

Plus, I'm sure that if an f-body was produced in 2003, then GM would have up'ed the power to keep up with the cobra, but thats not very relevent.

If I raced magazines I would join ya, but I race in reality. For example, I ran 12.90@110mph with a 1.90 on my bone stock SS, factory F1 tires and all. I also weighed my car without the rear seats and spare and jack (40lbs), it weighed 3200lbs even, far from your magazine hyperbole/average.
Also Evan Smith ran a Z28 in to the 12.8's bone stock, and in a fleet car at that, so you know it was flogged by the press. So no, the 03 Cobra was not a faster car...........

I dont care who or what you raced or what time you put down. If you put equal drivers in the same cars the 03 cobra will beat a SS 9/10. PURE FACT. You say you dont race magazines but everyone in this thread is racing magazines or what other people did in the quarter LOL. Muscle Mustangs Fast Fords ran a 12.4 completely STOCK. Straight from Frost in a PM i got from him: "My car weighed 3665 with 1/4 tank of fuel on DOT scales just after I got it." (Really cool guy). Hyperbole are statements that are exaggerated or extravagant, my statement wasnt either of those.

The second you dont have anything to say you say wrong year lol. Your comrad was comparing the 03 Cobra to F-bodys so why cant I, because of the difference of the years? LOL, so I could never could campare my car to a Supra or a RX-7 because they werent produced in the same year? LOL HAHAHA

so you're telling us the cobra coupe is heavier than the convertible WS6, and that all the extra boat anchors (like IRS which gets removed by people making power anyway) makes that weight worth it?
We could debate about IRS all day but Im not going to do that. I LOVE IRS, the ride quality is 1000X better and the handling is sooo much better than any stock solid axle F-body or Mustang it almost has a luxury feel to it (I know luxary and mustang dont go in the same sentence to well, but thats how I feel about it). I know Kevin isnt a fan of IRS because of the weight, but I am. I will never swap it out. The reason many people that swap it out isnt because of weight its because they break half-shafts and it cost $$$ to replace or "Beef up" Personally I would rather have a beefed up IRS than have a solid axle.

VENOMOUS03COBRA: on ModualFords.com Just w/ Bolt on's No N20
Ported blower with 2.75 upper only. suspension , full weight, Port with 2.75 and 2# lower, with slicks and skinnies, 10.90 @ 128.38 on a 1.69 60' (badly slipping clutch). the car usually cuts mid 1.5's , which would have been a 10.70 pass. still stock suspension , full weight besides prostars. roughly 3750#s.

you can only have an argument when both sides are making valid points

otherwise it's just a lecture.
