Well think of it like this then. You owned the car at its peak. It is bound to have a failure again in the future, tuner cars never run perfectly for long. Let it be someone elses issue the next time a $1000 part needs to be replaced.

Like I said before, sell it, just make sure that if the guy decides to sell it in the future he gives you first dibs.

All these people that say this car is irreplaceable are nuts! Missed opportunities are irreplaceable. Cars are definitely not. Obviously being able to keep the car, and buy a house would be great! But debt free, is debt free. If you can seriously, no bullshit, sell the car for 40K or even more (from which I gathered by some of the earlier post) then DO IT! People seriously have too much money on their hands if they're offering that much anyway.
