some york county cops have the new spectre. not just the state officers. One of the sherrifs that i know told me. Theres like only one, maybe 2 in york county though.

 

I'll believe that when I see it, I know plenty of people who run around with RDs on all the time and never get pulled.

 

i think its hard to determine what car has it and if the person with the radar detector turns it off then its gone so theres a chance theve been detected before but the cop didnt know its them.

 

They are using both, I got caught with mine 2 months ago in some little ass county

 

Probabaly the only advantage of all the NOVA traffic...............makes spectre's practiacally useless.

AFAIK, spectre's are not everywhere. VSP are supposedly have ~50, and you may see 1 or 2 in some of the localities. Best way to go is get an RD that is spectre immune(Bell STi) or one that is only detectable within a few hundred feet. Spectre can detect some of the lower end RD's like cobra's and whistlers over a 1/4 mile away.

 

ya i think most of the ones the vsp have are near the border of virginia becasuse when me and some friends went to nc to buy ours an unmarked charger passed us right at the border of virginia, and as soon as he passed us he slammed the breaks and turned around, luckily he pulled over the car ahead of us but i could see the spectre in his window
