'03 Lexus IS300 vs '03BMW 330i ZHP

doesn't look the same as every other bimmer on the road?
edit: this is the teaser btw for those wondering.
also the IS is notorious for getting shit gas mileage. if i had wanted 18mpg i would have gotten another truck.
im not saying either is better, im just telling you the difference i notice when i drive a bimmer once a while.
zhp does have more power, if you catch a good deal on that get it, but maintinence on bmws are more expensive than an IS
edit: yea IS gas mileage is shit i get about 20

Ahhhh black.
Congrats dude, that thing is a fucking beauty. If you can't tell already, I can almost guarantee you you'll never go through another day in your life again without at least one BMW in your roster.

the guy actually has the transmission fluid drained/replaced and Martin Motorsports a couple of months ago.
have all the service records for the car. really great seller, even picked me up on sat to take me to the bank to do all the business.
Hahaha, that's funny. Gary (Martin) takes care of a lot of people's cars though, so not too surprising.
Good shit @ the service records, make sure to add on to them for whenever you sell it.

they look a like dont they?
But that is hardly point being made here, the two are completely different they share nothing the same. The engine is different for starters, wheels and tires, brakes, shocks, springs, steering rack, control arms, rear end, in other words they share very little mechanicals together. It is not an appearance package. In fact it shares very little with a 330, the engine excluding the cams and tuning is the same, but nothing else.
smoother ride, less aggressive throttle, smoother power-band, are the big things i notice.
Maintenance is relative, you say easier, that is all about whom. You say cheaper, once again, it is relative to what. Yes some parts are way more expensive for a BMW. But everyday maintenance is the same, brakes are the same, oil is the same, tires is the same, gasoline requires 93 octane, so you pay .20 cents more per gallon than an IS. But as someone mentioned the IS gets worse gas mileage, I average 24mpg and I live in DC.

i say the IS. you can squeeze a ass load of power outta that car without changin your internals. some have gotten around 800 but i dunno how stable that is. most stay good around 500. all you gotta change is the clutch. the stock clutch they came wit can't even hold the power of the IS stock.
but at the same time i don't know too much about bimmers.

YES, great purchase. My '01 330ci surprises the fuck out of me with gas mileage. I average around 22mpg on the daily commute, and thats with a little fun here and there.
Does it have the sport package? If it does, I'd recommend just some nice lowering springs and a set of BBS's. Thats all I did with mine and I dont see myself doing anything more.
