Sr's on average are more reliable than ka-t. Why? Because ka-t owner (like every other 240 owner) are cheap as hell. So *most ka-t set-ups are junkyard parts or done half assed ect.. Now when you are going to turbo a n/a motor it's not always the greatest idea to half-ass a turbo kit for it. Especially in the area of engine management. This is where even if a sr swap is half-assed (which most are) the sr shines. Since the motor/ecu are factory tuned for turbo, they CAN be more reliable. There are also other reasons.. such as SR has about 100000000000x's more aftermarket support ect ect ect.. Anyways, nothing wrong with a ka-t done right, it's just that most arn't.
