My take on the infield rule is the same as ClipsnStock. If you have an 11 person team, and 8 people are playing the outfield, it doesn't leave anywhere to hit the ball. You're right, guys should be able to make it to the outfield without a problem, but because of the fact that you basically have to, its almost pointless. If you hit the ball in the infield, they just play 5 ft into the grass, and the grass slows it down so much you can basically barehand any hit and run it into the infield. Its stupid.
