Okay. So my buddy, good ol Schreecho came by and lent a hand.
It's 100% the diff. I was trying to diag it with my phone instead of actually being under the car(couldn't drive the car and be under it)

Anyhow. The reason I thought the trans made a odd noise was: a pulley is now making a odd noise on the accessories belt. Never did it before.. My friend was literally gone for 10 minutes before I got the phone call.

Options on a diff? If I get a stock one; I want to beef it up as much as possible. I don't want to deal with this shit again.

I bought the car to enjoy through the summer. Not to sit in my garage.

Well I've heard of the puddy mod diffs even breaking after a certain power level, but for factory power, you should be good with one of them

 

I beat up on my first Puddy Mod diff for almost 5yrs before I knocked the Ring an Pinion out of wack.
Just sent it back to him an he rebuilt it for a reasonable price.

I still have my Stage 2 in an love it.

 

Really all depends on how you drive I guess too.
