Been in the burg alot this past week and I've only seen one "modded" car and that was a silver ek hatch with Sprinthart replicas. Believe it or not the burg used to have a very tight group of enthusiasts of all makes. When you mix rednecks and ricers you cover just about every type of car. There were meets, dinners, drives and races.
Apparently there is a meet Friday nights at the McD's near the outlets. There are still a lot of cool cars around here, it's just that a lot of them never get driven. Also, people who didn't have families before are starting to.
The cruise-in at McDonalds is mostly muscle and classics, though there is no restriction or anything, everyone is welcome with the universal exception as long as there's no reving or burnouts of course. McD's used to actually sponsor the cruise-in, and we would get a discount if we drove a car there for the meet. But they haven't sponsored it the last two years.
There are definitely some cool rides in Williamsburg, just got to know where and when to look.
