i need to fix this stupid short. im hoping it is the OD selector like ford had issues with. cant take it apart without a haynes book, to late to go get one now. seems to be an easy fix. ford even put out a revised part to fix the issue.

Sucks about the steering though

 

Well it wasn't really all that funny to be honest. I was at truck body getting my rear D-shaft made, I went to get in the truck and the steering broke, the truck rolled forward, missing me, down the bank there and out into 460E. It wasn't a good day to say the least. We had to get a guy that worked there with a strap and his truck to pull it back up to the parking lot. I had had the tires chocked so it wouldn't roll back. I had no idea it would have rolled forward. Still to this day I don't understand how or why i did...

Yeah, it was a slow time of the day. It was on a Tues. and it happen around 2pm. I'm just glad it didn't roll over me and when it went out in 460. There was a Tractor Trailer that was coming but saw it and was able to stop in time easily without issue. He actually pulled over and helped us get it back to the lot.
