HKS cams ARP head studs, 3" turbo-back exhaust, fuel pump. Re-flash and your looking at a 80whp gain. Stock evo puts down 225whp on our dyno, the combination just mentioned is popular and will get you over 300whp. Around the 400whp mark is when the factory ignition system will break up so consider upgrading it if you plan on exceeding that number. Ive never seen a stock turbo get past 350whp but then again we have never pushed it, most customers who are near or past that number already have another turbo.

PM me also if you want a re-flash if you live in the dc metro area.

good question! i vote yes. Lambo's too. Looks like 19" rims, rolls off the line and still manages a 9.1 @169. Plus it can take a turn

There are ways to make the stock ignition go past 400. Power isn't really the biggest factor in ignition anyways.

agreed. mostly boost. plus if you add wmi in the mix it lowers that number. It's nice to have a decent (not tiny) plug gap though to make good power with out having to worry about misfire. Seems like the Denso coil packs work well as an upgrade, some guy makes a plug and play kit for under $400. Same coils used in some Toyotas including the tC.

Plus going past 400 I would recommend going stand-alone and a speed density set-up simply because the factory MAF housing is restrictive with that honeycomb mess.

I agree you usually do not see many stock turbo evos past 350whp. Although you should be able to get away with the stock ignition system past 400whp depending on what your plugs are gapped to.
