Coming off the straight at full tilt, he prolly fixated on the outside of the turn and was afraid he couldn't slow down enough. Was also prolly scared of hitting the bike that took the video, since the cam was on the outside line and he was on the inside.

incidentally i have plans to build one of those using a ported head, bigger carbs, hotter cams, better ratio rockers, and bmw wheels.
