The Ugly Duck Resurrection A.K.A 1965 VW Bug
I finally finished the main brake lines. I still have 2 more lines to run but those will be done once the transmission is finished and new stainless steel braided brake lines are on. Going to get a little bit more work done tonight since I can't sleep.

Not much done since the baby arrived. I did manage to order new brake shoes, mounting hardware, wheel cylinders and steel braided brake lines for the front. Started tearing down the rear brakes to replace some seals in the transmission. Found out the PO had someone else work on the car and stripped the threads on the passenger side axle
. I'm probably just going to buy another one that way I don't have to worry about it. It took the blow torch to get these fuckers off. 250lbf torque is a bitch to break loose.

Finally replaced all the seals in the transmission, detailed and painted. Started to detail the mounting hardware for it. Pictures will come later this evening.
nice work, i want another bug so bad my first 3 cars i ever owned were bugs. Looking through your build on the rear air set up looks like you have a set of 2500 bags back there. If your wanting more lift maybe try a sleeve bag back there? they are pretty small and compact when deflated and rise up a pretty good amount. Just a thought, i think the min height is 4.5 and max is 12. Also i dont know much about bagging a bug lol. Subscribed to the thread to see the progress and so i can get jealous cause i want a bug! Keep up the good work man!
