Gotta go against you on this, looks more like to me that you didn't thoroughly read fatboyee's comment before replying back. Just my humble, unbiased .02...but what do I know?

Yes like Trent aka Big Bake has said from 98-02 the Mustangs had nothing for the F-Bodies. Even from 94-97 The Mustang had a tough time with the F-Body and the race was closer with each car capable of winning or losing.

Evan Smith has driven 2 LS1's in stock form to a 12.8 and 12.9 and that is within 03/04 Cobra range. Infact he also driven an 03 Cobra to a 12.7, 12.8 and 12.9 go figure same driver both cars. Not to mention the Cobra being shorter and weighing around 220 pounds heavier.

Personally I think Mo and Trent would be a close race

Richard just go with your gut and try the people on LS1Tech.

Tough time?

I'm pretty sure a 94-97 Mustang would get wrecked by an LT1 car of the same era by as large a margin as the Ls1s put on the 98-current cars. I didn't have too many issues with them in my thirdgen, and that was even slower (if thats possible) than my 97.

Course, I'm probably biased.

Yes JT a tough time. I am talking about a 96-97 Cobras, not GT's which can run 13.7-13.9 stock and a few freaks have ran as fast as 13.4 but that was a 1 or 2 time deal. The Majority is 13.7-13.9 though.

Wow....the old ford vs chevy thing is still alive huh? Having owned alot of both I fully support the idea of an LS motor in a light foxbody....hard to go wrong with that amount of headflow from a nearly stock cyl. head...to each their own I guess...I think ANY fast car is pretty cool.....
