This was at mt trashmore? I've been to a few meets there and it doesn't seem like a "better" venue. I'd rate it about even allthough redwing is not visable from the main road thus not attracting any unwanted atendees and or authority figures. just my 2c
Yes. All the "official VAD" meets put on by us have been at Mt. Trashmore. We've had HUGE meets there. We brought BBQs, pavilions, made tons of food and had tons of people (200+, I'm sure). We've never had issues with "unwanted" people and it's way easier to access from the highway.

We had it there last year and didn't have a problem, and just did it there again since no complaints.
I heard lots of complaining about the parking when we were there.
The speed bumps were a problem, but we've gotten around that problem. It's in the grass before the speed bumps now. So hopefully that won't be a problem.

Parking in the grass sucks if it rains anytime in the week before. It'll still be soft.
