You bring up a lot of very good points. Lets address the hp levels. most Honda's that i have seen are below or around 2300 pounds, i will have the lightest domestic so far on that list and im right at 3500 pounds. most of them weighing around 3900. The weight difference balances out the hp levels, And not all of the domestic cars on the list are any were near 1000hp, there only 2 on there so far.
Again the whole tire thing is to get the cars running on the track like they do on the street. You would lol if i showed you the 330ft times on my car, I think they are somewere in the 5's or high 4s witch is garbage! If your worried about the auto cars you shouldnt, there going to be on 17s and cant do but so much.
This whole thing is not about being fair, The only rules are street cars and tires. its about what you would run on the street with your street car. We can also do a MPH average along with ET if it makes everyone feel better. Would you rather see it be a round race and not a average?

you guys can snake a fucking what 305 radial easily on yalls cars without modifying fenders etc etc....
we (hondas) cant fit 235's in the wheel wells without modifying fenders, power to weight would be a good arguement if our traction wasnt a issue, but again we are on almost half the tire, but only shy a lil hp but lighter. which doesnt help us hook up, or make it any kind of fair at all.
and a 24.5 inch slick is still nothing to the size radials you guys would run. shawn would have the biggest tire there out of the imports honda wise, and its a 26. but he also has a wider front end than anyone coming out to run.
i would mention this to a friend who would love to run it im sure, but his car on a radial even tho it makes 650+ hp wouldnt run dick worth talking about on a 225. give him his slicks and its low 10's. along with a few other people in the same situation as that.
all of those cars are inspected and considered street cars. only minus back seats due to the cages the cars have in place. and the reason the cages are in place is because they race the cars every chance they get legitimately. and are adults and wont let me borrow them to come suck up alot of you mustang guys down the interstate.... <3 you all.

there is absolutely no comparison between a 1000whp automatic domestic on pump w meth injection when an import can make max of about 500 on pump, domestics have at least 4-5 9 second cars on radials and the imports are impossible to run that. so if you import guys really think you can win this average time thing, give it up and admit defeat.
I also think that the FWD cars should be allowed to run slicks, its just not a fair race otherwise, v8's can complain about the 1500# weight difference but its also half the engine that most fwd cars are running with, this should go for imports and domestics FWD's not just honda's
Any of the RWD imports of course, drag radials thats an even playing field, i can fit a pretty good sized tire under my chassis, and a 9 sec passes shouldnt be to hard for the RWD'ers depending on the engine setup, if you consider the supra guys, not to mention a couple ls1/ 1uz powered cars in the area.... wait does ls1's swaps count as a import?????

the size of the engines doesnt matter, this all originated from talk of street racing, this battle is older than ALL of anyone in this thread.
fucka v8, and fucka 4 cylinder. size doesnt matter we are all doing what we do regardless of how many pistons etc. the times from both sides are worth a damn for what they are..................

my 93 dx hatch weighed 2450 with me in it and the cage. im glad you agree it isnt fair mike, just so everyone knows because there is no reason to call this import vs domestic, when its just lets see how bad we can crush the imports. and we shouldnt worry about mightymouse? lol riiiiiiight.

if they want to make it intresting it should be like this....
same rules as the normal IMPORT vs DOMESTICS, but we can modify the rules a little.
radials for the poostangs or whatever
slicks for the imports as long as the car is driven through the gates, and doesnt hurt anyone of the dumbmestic guys vaginas about being a street car, because i know damn well the people id tell about this race will trailer there cars because no one wants to drive there stiff suspension race car 100 miles to a track for it to potentially break and pay to get it towed home when they own trucks and trailers for that exact reason....
let the mustang guys determine if not having back seats in a honda is to scary for them..... and shawn can come race his grudge match, because defined by the rules of sanctioned events his car is a STREET CAR, so if his car is, then anything sub par shouldnt be scaring these parking lot badasses that we know of yall as the mustang guys. <3

im partially embarassed by the amount of fear alot of the import guys are showing here. its run what ya brung for sure, but in this event a 24.5 inch slick is mandatory for anything fwd, to even contend against the dumbmestics.
and even then its still a little one sided. but i wont push for anything more than the slicks. you win some you lose some, and i hate to say it, all the way back, the dumbmestic guys have always been faster..... street wise since thats what we are talking about now.

Thanks, i am trying to make it fun but cant seem to come to a set of rules
Ok, so what if slicks were allowed to everyone. how would you guys feel if over half the domestics went in the 8s and low 9s. and the rest in the high 9's and low 10s. Is that going to be much of a race? or would you rather have something somewhat close and let the tire be the deciding factor on who gets down the track. The only car i can think of that would run those numbers is Rameys.
Is it safe to say that the import guys will only race if there are rules that give them a advantage? Jason Miller said that years ago and i was hoping he was wrong. guess he was not. Bottom line is, this is for street cars only. I cant count how many times i heard guys at bells rd, basspro, and a tone of other places talking about how fast there honda's are, domestics aint shit, blah blah blah blah. If that is the case then step up people!!!!! If you guys want to do a balls out run what ya brung trailer queens then lets do it. You import guys run what ever you want for tire and anything else you want. i will even give the winner a decent pay out, but i will have at least 7-8 domestics that run in the mid 7s on radials waiting for you that look the part of a street car. Is that what you guys want?
