I was reading about this syndrome, and it does say that with the modern technology that the chances of surviving ARDS are greater, which gives me hope for him. I will pray for him everyday. I know that he will be okay, and living his fully deserved life with his family and friends who love him dearly.

 

I don't know him but the prayers are without a doubt with him and his family

This was my line of thinking tonight..... the whole "free will" thing is a double edged sword. We are free to fail and to achieve in an environment full of challenges. As a whole, we've overcome challenges in history.... with many of them being in the medical field. Robots might get everything right the first time, without having to learn through the challenges, but they don't have free will.

My wishes are for Chris to be without illness, and that the burden of those that have the illness will lead to a higher level of knowledge, technology, and medical treatment. I believe that eventually, another challenge will be overcome by us, the humans who were given the free will to face it.

Jackie and I are thinking of you Chris, it's not fair to you, your family, your loved ones, and friends, but I hope that good comes out of it, for you, and for those that might face this illness in the future. Be strong man!
