Yes a B16 in a CRX will run a 14. But Shawn is basically saying until you show him a timeslip from 1989 with a bonestock CRX hitting 14's your argument is null and void.

We ARE NOT talking about some guy that swapped a JDM B16 into his CRX 3 months ago and ran a 14. We're talking about a timeslip from 1989 showing that this CRX off the showroom floor ran a 14.

Can someone find a b16 to import over that was produced in '88?

What kind of tires were you running on Chris? Were they factory 1989 tires? Was the CRX completely and utterly stock except for a b16, which came from a 1989 CRX?

I'm not doubting that a CRX with a b16 can hit a 14. Hell i would hope it would be able to. But what i'm doubting, is that one in 1989, on shitball ass 1989 tires, stock peashooter exhaust, etc. could do it.

That and the fact that peter pan is getting his stockings all in a bunch because he cant prove anything to me.
The b16 in my CRX was supposedly produced in the late 80s or early 90s. It was the exact same motor that was in the Japanese CRX SiR. It was a COMPLETELY stock motor with the exception of a very shitty exhaust that had to be put on because it's kind of hard to come up with a stock exhaust for a B16 in a CRX. It didn't have an intake, clutch, sticky tires, LSD, V-AFC or anything. It was eccentially stock. It was on very old Civic Si wheels and tires. They might have been better than what came on stock SiRs but not by much. My car was in no way an improvement on a stock SiR. In fact, the motor was in dire need of a tuneup, they alignment was completely out to lunch, and the clutch was on it's last legs. Again, you probably will never find a timeslip for a stock JDM SiR but for the sake of arguement, my CRX was basically the same thing.

Hell I'm not arguing. I'm just clarifying. I understood what Shawn was trying to say and it seemed like other people didn't.

You're a complete idiot for thinking that a CRX can run a 14 from the factory floor in 1989, obviously. I win. Go cry some more.
