Cycle whore thread
it's an x-ring for one so it's not low quality. it's just lower tensile strength so it's not meant for more powerful bikes.
what is this goin on?
Ninja 650. Chain supports up to 750cc so I'm good. I just know they make more higher end chains. And somebody was all like "you get what you pay for". I just wanted to double check. Google reviews are limited.
Just make the sure sprocket and or carrier isn't aluminum. Friends r6 had a vortex on it, not two months old and it fish hooked and chipped a tooth.
I don't buy all the crock about engine size in relation to chain strength. It's all about tensile strength/torque.
- Four-point pin riveting
- Value-Priced Quadra-X Ring Chains
- Solid bushings and rollers for longer chain life
- Comes in Natural or Gold
- Tensile strength: 8500 lbs.
- Recommended for up to 750cc, street
- 120 links or pre-cut for your application if ordered with Driven sprockets
- Comes with Rivet Connecting

This is the important part
this is dumbed down for people who have no hope of understanding physics and is intended as a general guideline.
750cc tells you literally nothing in relation to chain performance.
All the things that affect tensile strength (sprockets, hp/torque, bike weight, tire size/type) are absent.
Also, it comes with a rivet link not a clip master link. Make sure you know how to do the rivet properly or get yourself a clip link.
A poorly riveted master link will fail a hell of a lot sooner than a clip style (or possibly cause sprocket/carrier/engine damage). But a properly riveted master link is stronger than a clip style.

I'll probly get a local shop to do it. One guy said he can do it for $30. I probly don't trust myself to do it and I don't have a chain breaker. Thanks for the info.
Can someone shoot me a link to some OEM 2008 gsxr 1000 levers. I am not trying to pay 60 bucks to the dealership. Also if there are some OEM look a like aftermarket ones in black for cheap that would be sweet. Thank you good sirs.
