I REALLY wanted to come out, but I work way up in Denbigh. With Summer Traffic and everything, I'd be there for like 10 minutes before we got tossed out. I'll try and bribe my boss or something, but I just got back from a week in Florida, so I'm not that optimistic about more time off.

 

WAVY and the Virginian Pilot have confirmed their presence.

I haven't talked to any other media outlets, but maybe some of you have.

I just called and all the shelters are all reserved. We will be having our own tables out there, and there will be plenty of grills to use.

Please, try and bring something to grill and cook. We have a running list of what people are bringing HERE. If you wish to bring something please PM eng or myself and let us know.

Charcoal, Lighter Fluid, Spatulas
Forks
Chips
Drinks
Ice

Plates, Napkins

Whatever else you guys can think of. We will be out there even with the slight prospect of rain. Hope to see you all there!

 

I think to raise more money we should do a rally across the seven cities.. like charge 5-10 bucks a car, starting at one designated spot and proceeding to a park for the day of fun, not saying this time but maybe some other weekend.

 

ok, anyone who wants to buy stuff from sams...we will be goin sat am aroudn 11-1130 to the one in the rosemont va bch blvd area....i know of at least one person who def wants to go with us...anyone esle, pm me if u want to. also, we work in NN so anyone on the peninsula who wants to go to sams, pm also, and we will arrange somehtign for friday eve.

 

also remember the park has baseball fields, basketball courts, and volleyball courts, so bring your tennis shoes and bats, balls, and gloves.

 

Sung, just to be sure, we dont need a permit or anything like that? The last thing we need is VaB cops trying to cause problems. if so we have the tv news there to show how heartless they are.

 

I just contacted every Entertainment place for dunk tank donations or any other possible entertainment like moon walks, velcro wall, etc. and Special Events said they had a tank, but might be a problem with man power, which means their people need to deleiver it set up, tear down, and bring it back to the shop, they said it was cool if we had people for the tank. So im just waiting on the word back from them and like 8 others. So ill keep yall posted on the info when I get word.

 

ok..i have left messages for 96X, FM99, and Z104 aobut coming to the event. Hopefully will hear soemthign this evening or tommorrow. I also emailed FM 99 aobut broadcastign a spot aobut it. Anyone else have suggestions for station to speak to?

EDIT: I have also spoken with 94.9 and left a msg...about to call 101.3 also..but after that i am about out of ideas, except for country stations...not sure if i shoudl try them.,....what do yall think? i guess it cant hurt to try...
