"Hard core tuners" don't try to make their car look like the higher-end model of the same thing. Nor do they put on gaudy wheels that don't fit, get interior trim spray painted, put TVs in the car and do zero real performance modifications. We call those 'ricers.' And someone who pays a shop $30,000 to do the above, we call them 'idiots.'

The car is ugly. You completely ripped the guy off. What is the labor rate, per hour, at RPM?

You also make yourself out to be an idiot by posting the way you do on this forum, which happens to be a gathering of possible customers. Once again, as I tell you every time you post on these threads, I am amazed.

So, I was wondering to myself - "Self, why do these guys brag about winning a window tinting championship ten years ago?" So I went to Google, searched for "East Coast Tint Championships." Didn't find any sort of website for the event but I did find this:

soo, i just got my dcab back from the tint shop. i chose this local place called "advanced window tint" but their shop is really a cheesy car tuning shop (chrome wheels, stereos, NOS, intakes, exhausts, honda civics parked outside, etc) called R.P.M.

i went with them because theyre advertised as VAs #1 tint shop in 95, 96, 97, 98, 99, 00, 01, 02, 03, and 04 and won 1st place in 98 at the east coast tint championship. they guarantee satisfaction and preach about seamless windows by master installers.

anyway, i tinted my GTI twice, both times were between $170-200 for illegal (VA laws are 50% front, 35% rear). for my taco i got 35% all the way around and it was...$275!!

i guess its my fault cause i didnt even ask about the price when i dropped off the truck. i just naturally assumed theyd be around $200 or so...i mean, its 5 FLAT windows...no curves, no defrosters, no splicing. anyway, i suck for not asking.

i was thinking of having them do my stereo but i feel like i was overcharged and that doesnt make me want to come back.
Really, it's like the Chicago Bulls reminding you ever time they do a press release - "1997-98 NBA CHAMPIONS." Now they're missing the playoffs.
