Hopefully I can help...The speedometer on a 94 vr-4 does top off at 180 (I just looked in my roomate's vr-4). He's had his up to 165, but 180 is bullshit, or someone needs to have their speedometer calibrated. If the vr-4 beat the Porsche, it was because the driver of the Porsche either had the sense to slow down and call it quits or he has too many tickets already and didn't want to take the risk of getting caught. Besides most individuals who can afford the likes of Porsche are more attuned to what responsibility means. Sorry for intruding (I'm 757) but I have traveled 95, Midlothian, Powhite, and all around your area. I have a Passport 8500 with VG2 protection and it has saved my ass more than once out there. It'll run you 300 bucks but worth every penny. Thanks in advance for my intrusion.

 

umm HP does have alot to do with how fast you can go up top, and i know what you're tryin to say also, my limiter is set to 255mph (will my car make it that fast HELL NO) however i did make it to 150mph in 5th with 4.10's

how modified was the 3000gt? a stock vr-4 won't touch a 996tt from a roll.
