He's very right actually, nissan's will do it too. Are the two cylindrical dowel pins/locators still on the block? Should be one on each end that a stud will go into. One of those could be damaged, causing the binding...I'm not sure if coolant or oil flows around any of them, I'll have to look at my block in the morning...

BC272s, jmfab smim, SBR street core fmic, 3" gm maf w/ translator were added to the talon. Went out for about an hour and street tuned...(5pulls) last pull launched shredded another alternator belt, replace it brought the car home! runs like a champ.
Hoping to find cash for dyno time here soon, and pick up some race gas from a friend of mine (9.45 coupe that broke 2nd round of eliminations at Imports vs. domestics... pump gas dyno tune and race gas tune is the idea.
