I have a feeling I've already posted this in this thread but I didn't feel like looking back.

So, just making sure it gets put in here again.

Nice truck. I recently picked up an '88 Mighty Max that I'll be putting a 4G63 in soon as well. Looks like the previous owner of that truck cut a hole in the firewall to fit the motor in. While that's not the way I intend to do it, the way that hole is cut looks a great deal better than any of the other hack ways I've seen it done (i.e., firewall bashed in with a BFH).

I've always wanted to do a might max swap, what tranny do they use and does it just bolt right up to the 4g63?

There's a dozen ways to do it. There is a trans that bolts up, but it's weak and sucks. Best way to do it is to adapt it to something. You can get adapters to adapt to pretty much anything. If it were me I'd probably do a 4L60E.

Oh ok gotcha, I guess with the larger tunnel's in them you can make just about any trans work, and the GM trannies hold alot of power.

I wont speak for him but its not completely figured out yet. I will see if he wants to let people now.
