Guess ill make my entrance. The accord had reverse the first time that I got the car. Later that night after giving him a deposit kids mom wanted the car to remain at his house (understandable so I gave it back). Went to pick the car up about 3 days and a couple of headaches later. Picked the car up from his house. Never had to put it in reverse up until I got it home and then it didnt work. Now its possible that with the car being as low as it was that going over some VA roads it knocked something (possible shift linkage loose). So cant really blame the previous owner because I really wasnt sure.
I went to sell it a few months later car the idle was jumping and the fuel rail had a leak which was told to the buyer. I told him that I dont recommend him drive the car home at all but if he did it would be at his own risk. Anyways when I went to sell the car the kid payed me and left the car to come get later that night. So I had to go to work and about 1am I get a call from the fire department telling me how they wanted to verify the kid that was in the car was telling the truth about driving the car home that he just bought. I told them hes wasnt lying but asked why they were calling and they told me him and his friends were driving it home and the eninge caught on fire.
After all this I wanted to make sure nobody was hurt and that I wanted to speak with him. I told him that I said no to drive it home and he apologized and assured me that hes still getting the car. Well a ton of shit and about a month go by and I get the car back with a hacked up wiring harness the rims were gone and kid hands me $800 to take it back cause he said he cant afford to fix it. So I sold to my friend and he fixed everything and now its back into good hands.
Now the issue with me when I first got in there car it had been 2 years since I drove a stick and never driven with a "short shifter aka cut down shifter". So yeah it was a little shaky test drive lol. But the car was very nice when I got it and up until I sold it. So clear my name off the person who "ruined" a 1993 accord if it matters to you.
