Honestly I don't think there is anything you can do to an integra to make it all that impressive. Granted both you guys have nice cars but I think they are over rated, they are like civics to me, everyone's got one no big deal. You want an impressive car? get something different...

 

yeah its true that both of our cars are common cars. But, as both cars' mod lists have shown, they are not the same as everyone else's car. i mean, as justin said, how many 94-01 integras or any car do you see on the road with his paint? not many. and i have seen 1 other car in the area with a similar paint job. and a 94 integra with a rare 2001 type r interior, yeah, real common.

and my car. i am the first person on the east coast with that lip. it just came out in september. sideskirts, 1 other person that i know of in virginia has them. and my motor setup. NA LS (non-vtec) - hoping to make some power off a platform that isn't that popular. so yeah, my car is sooo trendy.

also, what makes a prelude so impressive??? i admit, that (5th gen) was the first car that i wanted to buy, but i couldn't afford a car for that price so i found something that caught my eye. and guess what, i'm happy i saved all that money. i know a couple people with 5th gens that wish they could mod it, but they cant. they have no money.

 

Ok so I have to explain why I have my opinion (as if it really matters) Ok the paint I see on your buddys integra I have seen on literally 100's of cars just because I may not have seen it on a 94-01 teg doesn't make it new, it's PAINT. I USUALLY see paint like that on like older box chevy (read: caprice classic) model cars with gold spoked or just silver spoked rims... which I personally despise or older caddys with the same look... That paint is nothing new nor is it anything special...

Are you SURE you are the FIRST on the east coast? It doesn't really matter cause my point is I would say (this isn't a fact but a guess) 75% of honda enthhusiasts drive either a civic (of one variety or another) or a teg which to me makes them pretty boring. As for your sideskirts great congrats I dunno what you want me to say. and just because you haven't seen it doesn't mean it hasen't been done


I never said that preludes were all that and a bag of chips, if you want me to tell you whats so great about them IMO lets start with the powerplant H22 one of the most well engineered motors that honda has built yet, why? because as far as N/A performance you really (short of upping compression and major internal work) can't get a whole lot more out of them however the B Series (16's/18's and everything in between) left quite a bit of room for improvement (thats why there is a bigger market for them) they (Preludes) were also the test bed for all of honda's newest innovations sometimes leading to problems but thats how that goes. Suspension... back when the prelude was a new model and throughout it's time it has always had suspension that was well above anything else of it's time (5th gens = independant double wishbone) current Corvette's are still running solid rearends with leaf style suspension As for your integra you have the independant f/r suspension however they didn't introduce the double wishbone design until after they had introduced and tested it in the prelude (similar design tho) I personally also just like the prelude (most any variety) because you just don't see a whole lot of them around. They are also holding their value even more now that they stopped making them. Here are 2 examples of how common the integra/prelude are... a search on google for "My Integra" yeilded 256,000 results, not a big number on the web right? do one for "My Honda Prelude" yeilded 71,000... the same reasons I dislike the integra are the same if not a continued distaste for the RSX just more of the same with a new name... Since you wanted to knwo why I thought what I thought and wanted to bring the lude in on this then this is what I really think, congrats on your aged integra with your fancy lip I hope it makes the downforce improve on your great handling, as for your friend with his G-Special paint job get yourself some daytons to go with it (They often go together) then you will have 1 overrated car with a unique lip (and sideskirts) and another of thousands of cars with some 10 color gangster ass paint, BTW did you get the special on gold teeth with that paint?

ya see my paint on show cars and people who want something different to roll around on for the street. my car looks dope at night and in the day and is a different color at every angle. you see ghetto ass paint jobs on old caprice's that are done in some ghetto ass shop or somebody's garage and they look like shit. Mine was done professionally and i got it for free... so when youre talkin bout resale value, im basically way ahead with the first mod that was done to my car. compare the number of people with my paint to the number of people with yours... whatever color it is, its probably played... a whole lot more than mine...
