Don't get me wrong, the AP1 is a great car for a few things. But that's just it, a few. I would still love to own a clean, low mileage AP1, but I wouldn't get rid of my AP2 for one. The perks of the AP2 are the engine, trans and diff, and of course the rear subframe redesign. And IMO, while the AP1 is aging "ok", the AP2 still looks new. And it's design is nearly 10 years old.

I bought mine with 42k and stock, so it was exactly what I was looking for. AP2 is a much better all around car. AP1 is a more fun car.

And the looks are neither here nor there. With a front bumper change the AP1 now looks basically the same as the AP2. The S2000 has a timeless look to it anyway, and a set of bumpers and lights isnt going to change it that much, especially when they're the same shape.

I don't know where Ravaging Shitholes is but I do offer shipping if you're not local. The Signature Series 5W-30 reportedly works very well in these engines and holds up to summer torture as well as damn-cold temps we'll be getting this winter.

thanks but iirc an oil change is 30 bucks or less at honda. amsoil+me and my time+filter+cost for being cold=lots more than 30 dollars

I'm not getting the joke. If your time is worth something then notice the Amsoil lasts longer than the meets-minimum-specs oil you'll get from Honda. With that comes reduced wear, better startup protection, and so on. Not to mention the Amsoil filters that catch much finer particles than OE cellulose filters do.

If you're looking for meets minimums Amsoil makes the OE line for factory drain intervals, but I assumed you weren't.
