Undercover Cops Posing As Tuners
The devil's advocate to that would ask what if my mods were done by an ACE Certified Master Technician?
Another possible problem: environmental consideration. Do all previously-impounded cop cars have catalytic converters? (I don't know... a reason I'm asking). If so, do they have suitable catalytic converters that compensate for the increased fuel dumpage from a heavier-modified engine?
My problem with this is simply that it sometimes seems hypocritical of police to take a modified vehicle on public highways and hand out citations for having the same modifications. Master Tech installation or not, according to VA State Law, the vehicle should not be modified in any way, shape, or form.

Firstly, they're not handing out citations from those cars.
Secondly, as stated before, police are, have been and always will be authorized to utilize illegal items or substances in order to gather evidence against criminals.
If the police are using these vehicles, it is because they have been authorized to do so, just the same as they are authorized to fully automatic weapons.

this is where a lot of the money has been going for all of the loud exhaust/tint/etc tickets.

I put 10 bucks that this "jdeprelude" guy is nothing more than a 17 year old kid that says "yea", "shit", "assholes" and "anal" when doing an incredibly shitty job at trying to sound like an actual officer of the law. I'm friends with several officers (Hampton) and I can't think of any that speak like that.
Not to mention, none of them had mentioned anything about this "tuner crackdown"
So, kind sir, in my nicest words - "Eat a dick, chump"

Just to throw another call of BS out there....
Talked to two very nice cops in my parking lot just now here at work and asked them if they have heard of this 'undercover' street racing team....and they both laughed. I told them there was some smuck on dragva.com (one guy was like yea my son is on there all the time...didnt give a name though) is posting as a cop saying that they know about a new undercover street racing team....
Per the cops this would be something the State Police would have funding for not the City of Va Beach. But both were pretty shocked someone would pretend to be a cop on an open forum when its a pretty stiff crime to pose as an officer.
Also they said its a good and bad thing people would post stuff like this... good cause it does cause you to look over your shoulder at the other drivers if your about to race it COULD be the popo (his words not mine) But the bad is it makes people think the City of Va Beach is spending all this money on something that is totally not needed....
Ok well thats what 'I heard'
