I think either you misinterpreted what I'm saying, or I did a poor job conveying my thoughts.

It's a lifestyle. That's why we're all here. We eat, sleep, and breathe cars. I wasn't specifically calling him out, per say, but my point was that I see a lot of people buying more car than they can really afford because they want to have this big bad car that cost more than everyone elses.. which somehow translates to more respect.. I don't know what I'm trying to say. I just think there's a line that should be drawn in regards to how much of your monthly or annual income goes towards your vehicle expenses unless you're literally wiping your ass with a wad of $100's.

Lets say.. for instance.. you make $4000 a month. My personal opinion is that you should never spend more than 25% of your monthly income (assuming you're financing a car) on vehicle expenses, including insurance, gas, modifications, etc. Again, not referring to anyone specific, but there are people on this forum that spend close to 50% or possibly even a bit more of their monthly income on their car. It's their money, and their car, and I can't tell them what to do.. but I'm looking at it from an investment point of view.

I guess the older I get, the more important money becomes to me. I have a good job. I have an above average income doing what I do.. and they're paying for all the education I want, including certifications. I spend 10-15% on my car because I know it's a black hole and what I've already put into it, I'll never get it back. I save as much as I can because if something catastrophic comes up, I won't have to sell everything I know to get by.

In summary: I'm a die hard car enthusiast. I love anything with wheels and a motor. I think maybe I'm just growing up and realizing that I'm average. I'll have plenty of exotic cars when I can afford it, but in the meantime I'm trying to spend and save my money to allow me to be able to afford better things in the future.

Again, I know this is not your situation, soarer. I'm speaking in general terms.

Since you have another car I would say Elise. Have you seen Bill's? He just bought a Krypton Green one, it's pretty hardcore.

I have to say if that's the only car it'll be tough. Getting in is not bad but coming out is. It definitely feels like a racecar, very raw and hardcore, the rawness is just above Eric's Evo5. Stiffer than the Evo for sure, feel every little sand on the ground.
